Jay Nicely


Jay has been a resident of Stafford County, Virginia since 1994. He is an avid outdoorsman, and enjoys bass fishing in Virginia and often spends his weekends trout fishing or hunting in West Virginia. Jay is a graduate of Mountain View High School (2007) in Stafford.

He is a long-time friend of the RAHF Chief Operations Officer, Chris Gardner, Jr. They meet in high school and served as volunteer firefighters together at Dale City Volunteer Fire Department. They spent a lot of their down time fishing local ponds and Aquia Creek in Stafford. When Chris introduced Jay to RAHF, he was eager to get involved.

Jay has been volunteering with the foundation since the 2nd annual tournament, often assisting with planning, helping at the registration table, and working the tournament weigh-in station. He was formally appointed to the RAHF board in 2017, prior to the RAHF 7th annual tournament.

Jay has been an employee at the Prince William Service Authority for 10 years. He is married to his loving wife Sarah Nicely and they have 3 children, Savannah, Blake and Lucy.
